Excited to announce my collaboration with Drs Kostas Grigoriadis (PI) and Samuel Stamp of UCL, on a new project titled “Minimizing Building Envelope Heat Losses through Functional Gradation” and funded by UCL, the Bartlett Research Grants Scheme! We will examine the thermal performance of existing curtain walls and demonstrate the viability of reducing heat losses by replacing the envelope’s aluminum framing with a functionally graded material.
